The club

Rubicon is at number 7 on calle del Cid, just off paseo de Recoletos and a few minutes from the Puerta de Alcalá, at the edge of the Salamanca district that the club itself calls the golden mile. It opens Wednesday to Saturday and draws a local crowd along with plenty of people from outside Spain.

The venue takes its cue from ancient Rome and its name from the Rubicon, the river on the Roman frontier: crossing it meant there was no going back. Hence the house motto, “cross the line, there’s no turning back”, and the idea that walking in is a decision for the whole night. Tables are booked by phone with the club’s team, and the space is hired out for private and corporate events, with a set-up adapted to each booking.

Which night to go

Doors always open at midnight. Wednesday is Rubicon Wednesday, and some weeks there is a guest: on 21 October 2026 it is Lalo Ebratt. Thursday is Thursdays at Rubicon, sometimes run together with another club, as with Sutton on 22 October. Friday and Saturday are Fridays and Saturdays at Rubicon, the two nights that go on until 06:00. On Saturday afternoons, from 18:00 to 23:30, the club hosts Tardeo Fascinado, an indie afternoon party run by another organiser.

The music

The club sums up its sound as reggaeton and house, and afro house appears on its line-ups too. It mixes well-known DJs with live performances, at afternoon sessions as well as special parties: José de Rico has played here, and in October 2026 the Wednesday night belongs to the Colombian singer Lalo Ebratt.

Late at night, night buses N4 and N22 stop about 300 metres away, and the N5, N6 and N7 at Puerta de Alcalá-Retiro.
